Without very few changes from the old 2017 Ram 2500, the new 2018 model is just as reliable and powerful as ever. When properly equipped, the 2018 Ram has a max diesel towing capacity of 17,980 pounds! This is made possible by its max diesel torque of 800 pounds and its best-in-class gas horsepower of 410. This vehicle is a powerhouse of a pick-up truck.

For being such a towing capable truck, you would think that it sacrifices other capabilities-- and you would be wrong. A five-link coil rear suspension system improves turning ability and helps reduce overall friction within the Ram's system. The Ram's in control command center offers a host of technology features such as an available 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay ® and Android Auto ™.

The new 2018 Ram 2500 comes in 7 trim options each with their own capabilities. These trims can be further categorized by the various cab style and bed lengths. Check out the different trim levels and their features below and let us know which one is your favorite!

Compare: 2018 Ram 2500 to 2018 Silverado 2500

The 2018 Ram 2500 and the 2018 Silverado 2500 share many similar features such as a standard rearview backup camera, but the two pickups also have their differences. Check out our list of differences between the Ram 2500 and the Silverado 2500 to decide which vehicle is the right one for you!

The Ram comes with a standard heavy duty engine cooling system that vents excess heat generated by a high degree of engine use. This will come especially in handy when you are pulling a large load with your Ram 2500 pickup truck. The Silverado, on the other hand, only comes with a standard external engine oil cooler and external transmission oil cooler.

Both vehicles allow you to control other people's use of your vehicle. Ram does this through speed control, which sets a max speed limit for when you let your untrustworthy brother or crazy teen driver use your pick up. The Silverado has something similar that they call Teen Driver.

While the Ram has an affordable starting MSRP of $32,545, you will be stretching your budget with the Silverado because it has a starting MSRP of $35,455. With a higher MSRP, you are looking at a likely longer lease and more money coming out of your budget every month.

Compare: 2018 Ram 2500 to 2018 Ford F-250

The 2018 Ram 2500 and the 2018 Ford F-250 are two pickup trucks that are worth their weight in gold. Both of these vehicles have a host of safety, comfort and performance features that make them quality vehicles for any pickup truck driver. Check out a few of the differences between the two vehicles below and see which one suits your tastes.

The 2018 Ram 2500 and the 2018 Ford F-250 wear a similar price tag, with the Ram sporting a slightly lower price, but there are a few other key difference that could cause you to prefer one over the other. For example, those that enjoy blasting their favorite song as they drive down the road may like the fact that the Ram comes standard with 6 speakers but be disappointed that the F-250 has 4 speakers in its regular cab and 6 in the Super Cab and Crew Cab.

For those looking for extra storing capabilities in their pick-up truck, you may want to side with the 2500. The F-250, while it offers flip-up and fold-down seats, your storing capabilities may be maximized with the 2500’s behind the seat storage/bin.

Both vehicles have a host of safety features that will keep you safe in the case of a collision. The 2500 has advanced multistage front airbags that deploy when there is a collision. These airbags are complimented with supplemental front seat-mounted side airbags, side-curtain airbags and side-curtain front airbags to create a protective barrier around you. The F-250 has a Safety Canopy © System that works with its front side airbags and roll-fold side-curtain airbags to keep you safe.
